The Search XR S1 is an adventure-seeker that blurs the lines between mountain and road, pushing the limits of what you’d expect from a drop-bar bike.
The light, Reynolds air-hardened, back-tempered chromoly frame and mid-modulus carbon fork offer agile stability, efficient pedaling, and comfortable vertical compliance and classic style. With generous tire clearance (45mm/42mm with fenders); rack, fender, and bottle mounts; and a comfortably quick rider compartment, the Search XR S1 allows you to explore singletrack trails, tackle a gravel loop, or head out for an extended bikepacking excursion.
With sealed-bearing thru-axle hubs and WTB ST Light i23 TCS 2.0 tubeless-ready rims, ultra-wide-range Shimano GRX 22-speed gravel group and remote-operated 50mm X-Fusion dropper post, the Search XR S1 is ready to take on whatever adventure you’re up for. Its external cable routing makes for quick, easy service when the opportunity arises.

A dropper seatpost allows you to quickly lower and raise your seat to give you an ideal riding position. Dropping your seat creates a lower center of gravity for better control and maneuverability on steep descents, while raising it puts you at normal riding height for efficient pedaling.
Construction can include either hydraulic- or cable-actuated systems and the post’s travel can either be infinitely adjustable or stopped at set intervals, depending on the model.
Dropper seatposts come in standard lengths and diameters and vary by the amount of travel.
