Its aluminum frame is light for easy riding and nimble handling, while its light aluminum wheels get up to speed fast and the wide balloon tires float down the road. You'll also love the 3-speed drivetrain that helps with the hills, the wide handlebars, and the plush seat that's like sitting on a cloud. Comments:

My main bike is a Schwinn Le Tour Sport, that I use for training, and getting into shape, but Im 58 yrs old, and I remember the good old days when Schwinn, and their cruisers ruled the road. When I saw the Schwinn Hornet I just had to have one, the bike is built like a tank, is as comfortable as my easy chair in the living room is, and the coaster break will stop you on a dime, and give you nine cents change back! While the original cruisers did'nt have multiple speeds, I feel the Shimano Nexus three speed system that the Hornet has is a nice touch, it really helps with the hills especially if your over fifty. When I bought the Hornet I had a rack, and a basket put on so when the wife needs some smaller items from the store instead of useing the car I just hop on the Hornet, bottom line this is a very well built comfortable, and good looking bike, and well worth every penny.
