Karate Monkey is a highly versatile trail bike that plays the part of 29er and 27.5+ equally well.
Karate Monkey delivers a resilient, lively ride on all sorts of gnarly terrain. Its frame is a highly-versatile canvas for whatever dirty masterpiece your brain cooks up. According to our computing machine (Thor) it can be set up in approximately 487 different configurations.
Originally designed as a 29er (and the frame that helped spark the 29" wheel movement), the latest Karate Monkey is designed to perform just as admirably as a 27.5+ rig as well. This allows you to pick your poison — provided your poison is having a really great time while permanently donning a huge grin, of course.
- Modern trail standards: dropper post compatibility, 44mm headtube, Gnot-Boost rear spacing, thru-axles, suspension corrected fork
- Compatibility with most mountain bike standards makes it the perfect parts bin bike (no rim brakes allowed though)

It doesn’t feel sluggish on paved shortcuts, but can also hold its own on dirt detours. If you’re feeling a little zesty on your next road tour, you won’t be ill-prepared for reroutes through the woods. The Bridge Club is designed to handle it all.
- 100% Surly Chromoly frame, main triangle is double-butted; 1-1/8" threadless Chromoly fork
- Rack, fender, and four sets of three-pack mounts

See You At The Bottom
Even though Jekyll boasts a unique combo of go-fast tech that's never been seen before, it's not a bike that talks. It's a bike that goes.
Where it thrives
Steep, fast, rowdy mountains
What it's built for
Enduro racing, bike park sessions, high-speed mobbing
Highlights
- Full carbon frame, 165mm travel, Proportional Response Tuned
- Fox Float Factory X2 Shock
- Guidler-Idler pulley/chainguide system
Descend into Greatness
It's a hell of a climber but come on. Jekyll was born for the downs. Every part of it crafted for the sweet embrace of speed, every element designed to help you wring a bit more of velocity's nectar from those steep, chunky, high pucker lines you love.
Best. Suspension. Ever.
4-bar meets high pivot meets idler pulley meets size-specific kinematics. For real. If you're not up for suspension buzzword bingo, just know that it grips, floats, and pedals like nothing else. It's always up for getting down.
The Gravity Cavity
The shock tucks cleanly into the twin spar downtube, keeping the bike's center of gravity as low as possible. Wicked stability, instant line changes and one-of-a-kind looks.
Built for You
Well, not you specifically. But someone just like you. With our Proportional Response design, everything—from the suspension layout to the geometry, even the length of the chainstays—is completely customized by size, for performance built just for you.
Suspension Like No Other
High main pivot gives it a bump-swallowing rearward axle path. The Guidler pulley kills the pedal kickback of high pivot systems. The 4-bar linkage keeps braking smooth, traction high and pedaling crisp.
Guidler
Idler pulley + chainguide = Guidler. Clever, right? Idler eliminates feedback from the high pivot swingarm, keeping your pedal stroke smooth, even when the terrain isn't. The guide, well, it guides.
Suspension Built For You
A rider's center of gravity drives how the suspension performs, yet most bikes use the exact same layout for all sizes. Proportional Response Suspension alters the design by size for truly next-level performance.
Proportional Response Geometry
Long, slack and low—and fully size-specific. As the front of the bike gets longer with each size, the chain stay length increases proportionally, keeping the rider centered between the wheels for true "made for you" handling.
Guardhouse
Downtube protector keeps your frame safe from roost and strikes, while letting water and debris pass through.
The Ai Advantage
Our Ai Offset Drivetrain delivers more tire and mud clearance in the swingarm, and more even spoke angles for a stiffer, stronger rear wheel.

4-bar meets high pivot meets idler pulley meets size-specific kinematics. For real. If you’re not up for suspension buzzword bingo, just know that it grips, floats, and pedals like nothing else. It’s always up for getting down.

Technology:
Suspension for speed
- The most advanced suspension ever made for XC. While others sacrifice performance to save weight, our patented FlexPivot suspension delivers both. Incredibly light, with unreal grip, acceleration, and control, it lets you go flat-out everywhere. More speed. More fun.
Degrees of difference
- Scalpel's progressive geometry has evolved even further – we have a full degree and a half slacker headtube angle, a one-degree steeper seat tube angle – creating an XC bike that's more aggressive, lightning-fast, fun, and stable everywhere, from the World Cup to your local loop.
Stiff. Light. Fast.
- At just over 1900 grams, complete with shock, the new Scalpel frame is one of the lightest full-suspension MTB frames on the market. Incredible suspension, impeccable handling, and feathery weight – it's a recipe for victory.
The World's Best XC Fork
- Lefty Ocho is simply the most advanced, smoothest, most precise-handling ultralight fork ever made. Its one-of-a-kind design lets you float through the chop and slice through the chunder like nothing else.

Whether you're ripping fast flowy singletrack, putting the power down on punchy climbs, or tearing the tires off in the corners, the Optic continues to push the boundaries of what's possible on a short travel trail bike.
The new Optic with 140mm/125mm of travel condenses years of technology from our long travel bikes into a lightweight package that's as ready to tear up climbs as it is tackling challenging descents. The VPSHP suspension layout provides increased rearward axle path and an idler to manage pedal feedback, keeping Optic's playful roots, while punching above its weight when the trails get rough.
Available with a 27.5" rear wheel (MX), as well as 29" in some markets. Swapping the linkarm and lower shock mount with the "Missing Link Kit" converts between 27.5" and 29" to let you pick the wheelsize that suits you best, while maintaining geometry and kinematics to ensure consistent fit and bike setup.
- Carbon front triangle, seatstay and chainstay, 125mm of travel, threaded BB.
- Ride Aligned with Norco design kinematic, High pivot Horst Link and non-concentric idler.
- 29" (with the option to change to 29"/27.5") with no compromise geometry and kinematics.
- SRAM GX Eagle AXS T-Type Transmission.
- Weight (S3): 15 kg / 33.1 lbs
- Fox Performance Elite Float X custom tune rear shock.
